Women's Christian college was started in the year 1973, fulfilling the vision and missions of a few of the committed and dedicated members of the Kanniyakumari Diocese of the Church Of South India.
Special mention should be made about the tireless efforts of Dr.Mrs. Joy Gnanadason the founder/first principal of WCC, whose dream came true on June 13,1973 when the college was dedicated to the glory of God and towards the better education of the women of the Kanniyakumari District.
Women's Christian College is a Government aided Christian minority college for girls affiliated to the Manonmoniam Sundaranar University and recognized by the UGC and Accredited by the NAAC in the year 2004.
